This hotel is one of the few hotels in Barcelona that has accessible rooms
which can be used as either twins or a triples. It is situated between the
Sants train station and Plaça Catalunya just above the leafy main
street of Gran Via. It takes about 20 minutes to “wheel” from
the hotel to Plaça Catalunya and La Rambla or alternatively wheelchair
accessible public buses are available in the area. In the entrance of the hotel there is a small reception and two lifts up to the bar, restaurant and 3 accessible rooms. The bar/restaurant area is all flat and accessible to wheelchair users or those with mobility impairments. The rooms are very large in comparison to many hotels with large windows overlooking the streets below. |
The bathroom is also spacious with a WC and bath both with
grab bars. The sink is also accessible for wheelchair users with a space
underneath to get close to it. This hotel offers more diversity of the types of accessible rooms they can offer to disabled clients. It is ideal for small families that require triples or friends that need a twin room rather than one with a matrimonial bed. It also offers great links to Fira at Plaça Espanya for business people that are in Barcelona for exhibitions and conferences. |
