This is a espectacular hotel on the busy, leafy street of Gran Via. On entering
the hotel you are welcomed by a grand marble foyer with reception and a
ramp which leads to the lifts. The lifts access all floor which include
the roof terrace with fantastic views of the city. Unfortunately, there
are two steps up to the pool area. There are three rooms which the hotel considers suitable for disabled clients. However, the adaptations leave much to be desired, but if you can manage with what they have to offer it's a great hotel. The rooms are large and so are the bathrooms. |
There is a door leading from the bedroom onto a fairly large terrace overlooking
the street and Barcelona. The bath is in the corner of the room and only has one grab rail which is located too high on the wall to be of much use for wheelchair transfers. The WC's do not have grab rails but there is legroom under the sink for a wheelchair user. This isn't the best adapted hotel in Barcelona, but it does have style. Low level paraplegics and people that have some ability to walk may wish to stay here. |
